PAST LEADERSHIP

Since its founding in 1989, the South East Queensland Astronomical Society has been guided by a dedicated line of presidents, vice-presidents, secretaries, and treasurers who have given their time, energy and enthusiasm to lead the society.

As volunteers in a demanding role, each has helped shape SEQAS into the welcoming community it is today, one where amateur astronomers of every age and experience level can share their knowledge, their passion and their telescopes.

Under their leadership, SEQAS has grown its program of monthly meetings, Urban Observers nights, dark sky star parties, public stargazing events and school outreach, bringing the wonders of the night sky to thousands of people across South East Queensland.

The Society is indebted to these members for their service. This page honours their contribution, and their legacy continues to inspire the members who carry SEQAS forward, sharing the universe with our community, one telescope at a time.
