Our gatherings typically align with the First Quarter Moon, ensuring there's always the stunning half-moon to observe, even on cloudier nights. We also host special stargazing events throughout the year for extraordinary celestial occurrences like lunar eclipses or comet viewings. SEQAS holds Ordinary General Meetings every month that are open to SEQAS members and anyone who has an interest in astronomy. Each Ordinary General Meeting will have a selection of speakers discussing astronomy topics, SEQAS business, and recent club activities\events. The meetings are on the 3rd Tuesday of the month at 7:30pm (AEST).
